Kathy Shares If She Knew What To Expect Before Triple Bypass Surgery (VIDEO)

I went into the surgery almost unprepared for what was going to happen. I did have the doctors come in, and I’d spoke to several, but I feel at that time I was pretty drugged up. They had me on a lot of pain meds, and when I went into surgery I was totally unprepared for what they were going to do and how I was going to feel when I came out.

I did not speak to any support groups up until that point, and I wished I had spoken to some of the groups that are available before I went into surgery, because I really didn’t know what to ask. I didn’t know what to ask my doctor. I didn’t really know what to expect. I didn’t know about the surgeries on the legs to take the veins; I knew they were going to take veins but I didn’t know from where.

I was totally unprepared for what they were going to do, and I was unprepared for the amount of pain that I felt when I came out of surgery.
