I was doing great, just having a hard time staying asleep. Went to my ob and he gave me xanax, then trazadone. Didin't work. I didn''t sleep for 10 nights. I then started having [anck attacks and feeling like i was going crazy. Went to the psychiatrist and she put me on lexapro, ativan a nd ambian cr. Slept. Upped my doasage nad have been on 20 mg for 4 weeks now. Still not feeling like myself. I am getting better. I did realize that the premarine cream that i had been applying to my baby may have had something to do with it. That got me thikning about bioidentical hormone therapy for ppd. Does it work? That is what Marie Osmond used. (just read her book) I'm having a hard time finding a doctor to help me with this. I've been going to therapy and my phsychiatrist religiously. Help!

Attipey,
I take bioidential hormones to help me with menopause and depression cause by hormone imbalance - and it really works. I started with taking a saliva test to find out what your hormone levels are, and then finding a physician who actually specializes in BHRT. I found my doctor on www.abetterfeelingyou.com,. where they have a directory of doctors who are a bit more integrative in their practices.
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Marta- Thanks for your comment. I will check out the site. Are you giong to have to stay on them or how does that work? I wonder if they taper them off once mine are back on track?
