We've been dating for over a yer now but in the last few months our sex has drastically decreased at first started to go down from at least 1-2 times a day for at least 5 months and then it went down to 1-2 times a week and then to 1-2 times a month and now it's been a month and a half since we've had sex. I've read a few articles about this allready, but none seem to fit my problem exactly. I was worried for a while that it might be me that was the problem and but he told me it wasn't and i know he wouldn't lie to me. I've asked him about it but he says theres nothing wrong. I just don't know what to do anymore. He's only a year older than me and he's suppose to be in hes prime. Is there anything I can do? I Haven't pressured him or anything because I dont want him to do it just to shut me up. I want him to want to. and I'm just not satistied anymore and im not asking for everyday, at this point once or twice a week would be nice. A far as I know there's nothing he's stressed about at work or school, could it be a cobination of the 2? or something else going on that I don't know about? and please keep in mind that im am searching for help and advice and I don't want to hear find a new boyfriend. I love him and im not leaving him, even if it means were not going to have sex anymore. But it's frustration for the time being as I find it a tad odd that I want it more than he does. and I don't really want to talk to any of my friends abotu it because I live in a small town and this is personal and I don't need everyone talking about it. and the last thing I want him to feel is embarassed. I havn't told anyone of my friends but I'm in need of some advice. Any Ideas?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM EXCEPT I HAVE BEEN WITH MY BOYFRIEND FOR 5 YEARS AND WE JUST HAD A BABY 7 MONTHS AGO AND IN THE PAST 2 MONTHS THE SEX HAS JUST STOPPED:( I DONT KNOW HATS WRONG IM STARTING TO THING MY VAGINAL DELIVERY LEFT ME A LITTLE MORE OPEN THAN HE'D PREFER I NEED ANSWERS ITS REALLY EATING UP MY SELF-ESTEEM....

no one said it was all about sex. but not being able to be intimate with the person you love is frustrating and hurtful. you clearly dont have the problem otherwise you might be more sensitive to the women on here.

HERE IS THE ANSWER FOR ME: I had this problem....but in this case I am the GUY and the causer. My Girl friend and I have been together for 5 yrs and we get sex nearly every day. I used to like it morethan her. But recently I started to lose feelings for her and she'd beg for it for months. I do it now just to satisfy her.
This are the things which made me change
1) I used to beg her for sex in the past 5 yrs and now I started to cheat with someone else. I dont want to break up with her coz it will be very hard for her as I was her first boyfriend and I completely Isolated her from any friends as I was her only friend.
2)when we are having sex she doesnt want to try new things
3) she caught a viginal infection
I just dont want to ditch her...........She's beautiful and every body in her work place want her and they have respect for her coz everyone knows her for me.
I like to go out with her but not sex anymore.
So u might learn from this dear

thanks for your input, it gives me an inside view. but....
break it off with her! spare her the heartache of going on daily thinking you love her and want her when you don't! you need to let her begin to gather her own life back together again, and if you continue this any longer, it will only be harder for both of you in the end. Why would you keep dragging her in a 5 year relationship, are you going to wait til she's 40 and not in her prime and make it much harder for her to find love?
i think a major reason you haven't broke up with her is because of your own insecurities. You NEED her, you're scared if you leave her, you won't find someone to immediately replace her and you'll be alone. Get off yourself and think about what's best for the BOTH of you.

I think that you need to suprise him with a nice dinner some sex music in the background. Im a Gay woman and me and my fiance were havin problems but i suprised her with the dark house three lite candles and sex music. I have been in a relationship with my man for 7yrs, no proposal as yet :-(. we sometimes go upto 2-3mths without sex, I hate it so much but love everything else about him so I have put up with it. I'm worried as I'm starting to fantasize about other men. I would NEVER act on it but nevertheless I don't think sexually bout him anymore.
