Lorraine Shares How HIV Affects The Menstrual Cycle (VIDEO)

Rate This

Lorraine describes how a woman's menstrual cycle is affected after she is diagnosed with HIV.

Lorraine:
Well, I would say the one thing how it affects it is that women who are HIV positive may start menopause a lot earlier than usual. They still have the same type of symptoms, but like I said, because HIV wants to destroy and compromise your immune system, it’s also destroying your hormones. So hey, you are going to have a lot of HIV women psychos out there, you know? And it’s okay, you know, I think the most common thing that women talk about is dryness, not being sexually aroused.
