Gina explains why finding a new doctor to help her was a blessing in disguise.
Gina:
It was, it was a blessing. I did end up about six months later needing another procedure, went to another doctor, and he said to me when I came out of the, when I went back for my post-op visit, he said, “Was there a chance you could have been pregnant?” And I said, “Absolutely not,” and he said, “Because the tissue that I took looked like a pregnancy that had gone wrong.” And he said it in the lobby, I mean in the waiting room with my husband sitting right there, who has a vasectomy, and it was just crazy.
So then it was through that summer, and then leading up to the time that I was introduced to the website and heard Michelle’s story that I thought, it’s just a matter of a few months and I am going to start this all over again. And . . . or I am going to take my life, whichever comes first. And I went to the doctor. I had all of my blood work done, and it showed that I definitely had an imbalance, that I had some adrenal issues, some thyroid issues, and really, I needed to be put on the pill right away, and I am still on hormones. And if I can live ten years on hormones like this, instead of the way I was before, I’ll take that any day.
