Dr. Rohde discusses the treatments for tennis elbow.
Dr. Rohde:
There are several treatments that we can use for tennis elbow. Anti-inflammatories can be very helpful in the treatment of tennis elbow. There are also certain splints or straps that can be applied to the arm that can help to rest those muscles that are inserting up at that area, that inflamed area.
Injections can be helpful in the treatment of, in tennis elbow. Steroid injections, when used appropriately, can be, can alleviate some of the symptoms. And of course stretching exercises and activity modification so that we’re not lifting heavy, heavy objects and creating more damage in those areas of the elbow.
