Well, the best thing I can say for me is awareness that this is a real thing, and it’s not just a societal term to describe a bitchy woman. To know that once I start having these feelings, if I go look at my calendar, yep, and I can validate myself that my friends aren’t talking about me and they still want to go have dinner with me, and it’s just something that is inside of me that will go away in three to four days as soon as my period comes.
Other things that have helped me are yoga, breathing, and just trying to be present in the gratitude that I do have a menstrual cycle and this is just part of it.
