Beverly discusses her healthier life since participating in the Adult Fitness Program at Banner North Colorado Medical Center and also discusses her old exercise habits before she became involved with the program.
Beverly:
Absolutely, I am healthier and my grandkids even say this, you know, “Oh well, hey grandma is better off; grandpa is better off. They exercise; they do a lot more,” and our grandchildren are 21, 25, young people, but definitely my husband and I are both much, much healthier for having to come here, for continuing to come here doesn’t do any good. You just come in for a little short period of time and you just have to stay with it and maintain and continue.
Pretty, kind of a sporadic past history of exercise. We live near a beautiful park where we can walk and we do and we did. We don’t like going to the park in the winter. We have lots of Canadian geese in there and it’s kind of messy, but we can walk over there and we can walk back to our house. But you know, when you are at home and you think, “Oh, got to go exercise,” but gee, it’s a lot easier to say, “Oh, no, no better clean the oven first, got to do that and then will go exercise.” So the day goes by, you haven’t gotten over to walk in the park.
When you know you are going to come here, it’s a thing. We are going to do it. At 10 o’clock we will leave the house for driving over to North Colorado Medical Center; we are going to exercise, and then you do it, see all your friends, go home, feel better – definitely a good impact on our lives.
