I cant get an appointment at the hospital yet, they cancelled my last one and there is a big wait for another. It is now 8 weeks since my operation to have my detatched retina put right and the gas bubble is now very small . I haven`t been able to get hold of anyone to ask how much exercise I can now do .I am getting desperate to get playing golf and going ballroom dancing again but don`t know if it is advisable or not. I don`t want to risk it becoming detatched again.

Hi,
If you are unable to get an appointment with your hospital, do you have a doctor that you can call for a check-up? It is important to have your specific situation looked at, to see what physical activities you are able to participate in.

If your doctor is unavailable, most doctor's offices have a triage nurse who can answer medical questions, and this person would have your medical chart and personal information with which to answer your specific question.

Do you have another hospital you can contact, or seek the help of your doctor in scheduling?
