I HAD CONSULTED AN ENDOCRONOLOGIST IN JUL ND GOT BLOOD TEST DONE. I HAD VITAMIN B12 DEFICIENCY, HIGH INSULIN LVL ND PROGESTRONE LVL WAS LOW (O.1). SHE PRESCRIBED VIT B COMPLEX ND PRIM ROSE.
ABV MENTD SYMPTOMS COME UP WHN MY PERIODS START ND CONTINUES FR ABOUT A WEEK AFTER MY PERIODS FINISH. DO
U THINK ALL THIS IS RELATED TO MENTAL ILLNESS? OR MY HORMONE LEVELS?

You probably know best whether it is mental illness, but the timing sounds hormonal to me. Are the symptoms the same as when you had that blood work, or are they worsening? I think either way I would give the endocrinologist a call back and let them know you are still having symptoms in spite of the supplements, and see if there is anything to change or add.

Please let us know what happens. Many women have issues like yours, and it really helps to see what others are doing about it. Thanks again for writing.

Hi Anonymous

These could be symptoms of PMDD or mental illness or perimenopausal changes in hormones. I suggest you see a gynecologist and have blood work done to check out your hormone levels. You are at the age where they are starting to change, and it can really have an effect on your "feeling crazy levels."

Once you find out where your hormone levels are falling, you can decide what to do about it, if anything. But I think the gynecologist should be your first stop.

Good luck. Thank you for writing and please let us know how it goes.
