Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

After having a hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus), it is common for a woman to bleed several days to several weeks as the tissue heals and your stitches dissolve. Is your bleeding light or heavy?

Blood flow should be light. Spotting and or light pink vaginal bleeding is typical. If you are experiencing bleeding that is heavy or similar to your menstrual, lasting more than 6 weeks, you need to consult your physician.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
