if you miss 2 birth control pills during week 2 and have sex on those days can you get pregnant?

I am 27 years old. Have been taking the pill on and off for 13 years. I have two kids and those were both planned to the day! I started taking Lo lo estrin 6 months ago. I went to Mexico on Vacation with my husband three weeks ago. When I came home, my birth control pack only had 4 days left on the pack and 2 of which are apparently active pills which I barely found out a couple of days ago. So I decided I didnt need to take what I thought were the inactive pills. I did have intercourse with my husband three days before the pack ended so right in the middle of the white active pills that I did not take. When it was time to start the next pack (three days after intercourse and 5 days after having missed the active pills), I noticed I had actually either run out of pills or misplaced them AND it was a weekend. I thought, no big deal I will just refrain from sex until the new pack is fully in my system. Once Monday came, I realized my period never came which is normal for lo loestrin but i had completely stopped taking the pills. Still, I figured that was normal. While waiting a few days for the birth control pills to be ordered by my doctor, I developed pregnancy symptoms: sore nipples, excessive urinating, and a lot of white non smelling discharge. I once again realized that I also still havent started my period. Again though, I thought, it is just normal hormonal changes from not taking the pill. BUT then I read that I was actually supposed to take those white pills at the end of the pack for they are active pills. So now here I am 11 days since having had what I didnt know was unprotected sex with my husband and still no period and continuous pregnancy symptoms. I took a pregnancy test yesterday which came up negative but I literally have no clue when it would even be appropriate to take a test. Any thoughts on this matter would be so great as I am extremely confused. I would love to start my new birth control pack but not until I know I am not pregnant.

Hi I had a few questions I started taking birth control pills because I wasn't getting my period so I've been on the pill for about 1 month and 2 weeks but I missed 3 pills my period started on the 14 and ended on the 21. I missed Thursday Friday and Saturday and I had unprotected sex on those days and Sunday late at night I took Thursday and fridays pil. Is there a possibility I can be pregnant???please it would mean so much to me if someone can answer my question thanxz

i never tried pills before but i wanted to use it this month.but its my fourth day of period today(january 26,2012) can i start taking pill now on my 4th day of period?

I started takeing my birthcontrole pills and missed like 2 or 3 had sex then missed a hole week my body temp was up and I woke up with a cold sore from being so hot and I'm not sick at all then I took 3pills all at one time then started to bleed the next day so I'm scarred I was pregnant and I'm miss carrying it cuz I took 3pills. And I've been takeing them cuz my hm was all messed up and I'm trying to make them norm againe was on metformin to try for another baby but after 2months no period for 3months so I changed to birthcontrol to help my period come back and for my face to clear up so my hm can be norm againe so someone help me did mess up by takeing 3pills ?????

hey, so i was wondering when taking birthcontrol up to the last days of hormone pills do i need to have sex with another form of contraception (ie: condoms)? Also I missed my pill last night ( i usually take it at 10 pm) woke up at 9am and took it right away ... Im ten days till the placebo pills and Know i need to have 7 days were i use another form of protection but should i use another form till the end of my hormone pills?

Hi hope you can answer my question! I started taking the levlen pill exactly two week ago (today being Saturday) I missed the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday pills. I noticed brown discharge yesterday and bright red blood this morning like I was getting my period. This freaked me out so I took today's pill (sat) and a sugar tablet(Saturday's). So I've missed the two. Now I'm not sure what to do. Because I started bleeding I assumed I need to take the sugar tablet..... But now I understand that that may not be my period starting. What pill do I need to take to get back on track? I'm also wanting to skip my next period as I'm going on holiday. Today at the moment it's not a heavy bleeding but just dark brownish colour and too much of it. Please help
