Hi Tinalopezz,
Taking a pregnancy test may put some concern to rest for you. Think about it. Then you could know more what's going on--if you're just having an irregular cycle, or if you're pregnant already.
Hope you get the result you're looking for! Let us know how you're doing.

Hi,
It is important to know the underlying cause to your possible amenorrhea (not having a period for three consecutive months), before trying to conceive. You can learn more about this condition by clicking on the term above.

Please call your doctor, and keep us updated!

I actually have a question..... if I missed two pills and then took the two I missed plus the one I was supposed to take for that day but I had unprotected sex ( yes he ejaculated inside of me).... and I started spotting the second time we had sex and am still spotting with some cramping on one side of my pelvic region.... am I pregnant?

Is this spotting you are experiencing during the time you would expect your period (meaning, during your week of inactive pills)?

Bleeding is not usually a first sign of pregnancy; the bleeding/spotting is most likely "breakthrough bleeding" (if you are not expecting your "period"), as when you miss pills, your body can experience irregular bleeding in between your actual period. It is not harmful.

It is about a week until my usual period... and I don't know. My body feels different than it would during my period. I keep getting light headed too along with heartburn for the first time.

I missed the first 2 days of week one. I have taken the pill ever since, and double up the two days i missed. I had protected sex, and the condom did not break. I have one week left of my pack, should i be fine?

I'm on a generic version of Yaz, and have been on birth control for over 4 years consistently. I took my first two pills of week one - so Sunday and Monday (still had some bleeding when I took them) and then had unprotected sex on Monday and Tuesday. Missed my Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday pills. What are the chances of pregnancy?

Hi,
If you miss three pills in-a-row, the effectiveness of your birth control is decreased. Since you had unprotected sex, the sperm can live inside your body for 3-5 days (most likely 1-2 days, since your pills create an environment in your body that is not as "pleasing" to the sperm!). Either way, there is a risk for pregnancy.

If it has been 120 hours or less since you had unprotected sex, you could choose to take emergency contraceptive.

Ok - I took the Tuesday & Wednesday pills on Thursday, and then Thursday & Friday pills on Friday. And then had unprotected sex on Sunday (after taking Saturday and Sunday pills). Would it have been possible to ovulate in that time week time period of missing two pills (it was wk 1 of my pills)?
