Started when I was 40, now 56. Had a hysterectomy about 5 years ago (total). Have tried many meds. Now on Xanax. Just wondered what worked for others. Thank you.

the prickly skin thing sounds like a physical symptom of anxiety. I have GAD and Panic Disorder, and often feel the "pins and needles" feeling in my hands and sometimes arms.

Hi Anonymous,
Could you be more specific about your 'prickly skin'? Where on your arm is it located? Have you seen a physician or been diagnosed with any conditions? You explained that you had a hysterectomy....are you concerned that the prickly skin is due to your hysterectomy?

Please provide us with more information so we may better assist you.

Thanks,
Missie

I have been to my family doctor & tried to treat with anti-depressents. The prickly skin is usually on my left arm on the upper part of my arm & armpit. Went to a psychiatrist because for awhile I had anxiety and was also trying to figure out the whole "prickly" skin thing. Just want to know how anyone has dealt with this.
