My bf and I had unprotected sex right atfer I just ended my period I took plan B pills and the next day I got my period again even though I just had it 3 days earlier. But now I still haven't gotten my period. Is it possible that I'm just late?

Can anyone please help me? I'm thinking I'm just going to get my period really late. Or is it possible that I am pregnant? Answers asap please.

I've been reading a lot of posts over the past two weeks, and I'm positive my fiance is having normal symptoms after taking the plan b pill, but I'd like to see if anyone has an answer that may help calm our nerves.

We had unprotected sex on Oct. 31st, in which I ejaculated inside of her. She was on her period from Oct. 26-Nov. 2, and she took the plan b pill roughly 50 hours after having unprotected sex. Within a couple of days she was having headaches and lower back pain, which we knew was normal. Within a week after having sex (5 days after the pill) she had the typical "spotting/cramping" and period-like symptoms. That lasted about 4 days (until Nov. 11th).

Today (17th), she texted me telling me that she's having cramps and/or stomach pain relative to PMS. She doesn't feel nauseous (headaches or dizzy) but feels like she could throw up. Is this normal? Mind you, she took the pill 15 days ago. Also, could this be a sign of pregnancy? She's not due to have her period until at least next weekend, but we know taking this pill could throw that off--are we able to take a pregnancy test by early next week and get solid results?

Would definitely love some feedback, please. Thanks!

Hello, I'm the one who originally posted this comment--I'm just reporting back. So, after a couple of nerve-racking weeks of not knowing exactly what was happening or what to expect, my fiance started her period on Dec. 3rd. Both of us were extremely happy to find out she's not pregnant (and lucky!), but we know we should have never been in that spot to begin with. We agreed to go all out traditional and wait to have sex again after we get married. It's the safest and most sure way to avoid pregnancy.

So, for those of you reading, some of the symptoms are kind of funky and not normal, BUT, to the plan b pill, the "not normal & funky" symptoms ARE normal. My fiance had a short delay in her actual period, and everything between her previous period and this one is normal when taking plan b. It's kind of nerve-racking when abnormal things start happening the first time you take it (my fiance said she's NEVER going through that again because it scared the poo out of her), but that's simply the plan b doing its thing.

Hope this response helps to those who are reading!

First off, if you don't want to get pregnant, use protection. You were safe with the man who had a vasectomy. It would be wise for you to use a form of birth control. Ask your partners to use condoms.

Emergency contraceptive pills, when taken within the recommended period of time, will prevent pregnancy. They also can cause changes in your period.

After reading numerous posts on here about women who've had unprotected sex, I just wanted to share a little of my history. I lost my virginity at the age of 33 years old and did not engage in sexual activity AGAIN until age 35 (which was the information I shared in my original post). I'm not ignorant and understand about making mistakes (having unprotected sex - obviously) and after not having ANY physical contact with man in almost two years, I made one of the BIGGEST mistakes of my life! LOL Even though no one knows me on this site, I just wanted to make it clear that I don't have PARTNERS, plural. I felt as though your answer was a bit harsh, but maybe that is the RN in you. You have to keep it real and speak on what you know. I do appreciate your answer and please believe me, after the mental anguish I've gone through for an entire month...I will no longer engage in unprotected sex, no matter if we're in the heat of the moment or not...it's just not worth it. Ladies, take precautions at all times! :o)

My period ended on Oct. 9. Stupid me had unprotected sex on Oct. 10 (at approximately 7:30 p.m.) with a man who had a Vasectomy more than 5 years ago. Took Plan B on Oct. 11 at approximately 8:30 a.m. On Oct. 17, had what seemed like a mini period. I had to wear thin pads for about 4-5 days along with cramping and the uterus lining shedding (looking like clotting and this is normal within my cycle). Now I think I'm ovulating because I am having this egg-white looking discharge, which I'm used to getting every month and my Dr. said it is a good thing. My regular cycle is due to start on Nov. 3rd, but I'm just concerned and pretty much freaked out. I cannot get pregnant. Am I worrying about nothing? Need some advice or guidance, response, etc. Thanks!

Hi,
Did your wife take a home pregnancy test? Since she is so late, I suggest that she makes an appointment with her gynecologist. A blood pregnancy test can be done. It is too late for her to take an emergency contraception like Plan B. A visit to the doctor's office will confirm or rule out a pregnancy and help discover why her period is so late. That is the only simple solution that I can offer.

Plan B can cause changes in your normal menstrual cycle. This is probably the reason that your period is late and not that you are pregnant.

Hello I took plan b one step on 8/20. I experienced dizziness and spotting for a couple days afterward. I also feel like I've gained a little weight. I was expecting my period on 9/8 and I still haven't gotten it yet. I took 2 pregnancy tests that have come up negative. Is this all normal?
