If the pain is worsening, or just to ease your mind, call your doctor. It's normal to have some pain and discomfort after a hysterectomy. However, you should call your doctor if you have any of these symptoms with any type of hysterectomy:
Fever or chills.
Problems urinating or having a bowel movement.
Heavy bleeding or unusual vaginal discharge.
Severe pain.
Redness or discharge from incisions.
Shortness of breath or chest pain.
