Hi anonymous, doctors usually advice two to three weeks depending on the a number of factors such as how much blood and other tissues have been sent out of the uterus, if the bleeding is reducing and generally how fast you are recovering. You should make sure to follow what they say or you may get infections into your system by having sex before you fully recover.

Hi Anon,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Doctors usually advise to wait one to two weeks. The reason for the wait is that your cervix usually dilates as a part of the physical process of miscarriage, and this can mean increased susceptibility to infection in the uterus. By the time the bleeding stops, the cervix should be closed again.
