Hello Manz

DCIS stands for Ductal Carcinoma In Situ. Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is a form of breast cancer that originates in the milk ducts. The “in situ” part means that the abnormal growth is confined to the area bounded by the duct. DCIS can develop into invasive cancer if not treated promptly. However, early detection and removal of both offer complete cure for most patients.

Symptoms include nipple pain, a lump, nipple dimpling, swelling or redness.

Like any breast cancer, it would be rare to find it in a woman of 18. Doctors detect it by running scans or other tests, including a biopsy.

Hello again

As I previously wrote, it's rare but possible. Consult a physician if you have concerns.
Best,
