I received a pneumonia vaccine a couple of days ago and have noticed increase in blood pressure. Is this a possible side effect and should I contact my PCP who administered shot?

Guide

Hello. Thank you for your message.

Common side effects of the pneumonia shot include:
-injection site reactions (pain, soreness, stiffness, warmth, redness, swelling, tenderness, hard lump)
-muscle or joint aches or pain
-fever
-chills
-headache
-nausea
-weakness
-fatigue.

Contact your doctor to see if your rise in BP may be related even though this is not a common occurrence.
