Does It Prove A Partner Is Cheating If A Committed Woman Gets The Human ...

Dr. Jones explains if it proves a partner is cheating when a committed woman is infected with the Human Papillomavirus/HPV.

Dr. Jones:
No, it’s no indicator that a committed woman acquired HPV from her current partner, unless that partner is the only partner she has ever had because the HPV virus can lay latent in the body for years and years and years before it becomes active.

So, I actually get that question a lot. I have women come in and they swear it’s their last partner, their last boyfriend, their current husband, and it really depends on their history and if they started out with a history of multiple sexual partners, not 100% condom use, there’s no way, there’s no test to tell where the HPV came from because, like I said, it can hang around for years and years and years.
