Master ceramist Jason J. Kim explains how veneers are created.
Jason J. Kim, C.D.T.:
Well I use various porcelain powders. There are many methods of making porcelain veneers but to create the really natural looking, it really mimics the natural tooth depth or the color, sort of feel of the naturalness and matching.
It has to be used many different organic porcelain powders to create that. Usually a natural tooth contains about 35 colors. And I am trying to mimic all those different color of ceramics or layers to mimic the exact natural light transmission to the ceramics.
