It's amazing that fibroids are as common as they are-- some 75% of women will get them before menopause. I had a huge one that grew really fast a few years ago. Aside from becoming anemic from loosing all the excess blood during my periods, I was exhausted all the time and really worried. After trying a lot of natural techniques (like acupuncture, prayer and enzymes) I finally opted for the surgery. When I got it removed, I had to have a c-section it was so big. I just want to say, you may want o consider surgery when it's still small enough to remove without major incisions. It's not so bad if you have friends to help (my mother flew in and took care of me like an angel, thankfully) And don't beat yourself up about it--they are so very common!
