Hi snq,

According to experts cow milk should not be introduce no time before the year.

Here are some tips, experts believe is the best way to change from breastfeeding to formula. Introduce the bottle for one feeding once per day. If breast-feeding, you'll need time to allow your supply to adjust to the formula feedings, and if you try to quit breast-feeding suddenly, your baby may resist and you could become engorged or infected.

Fill the first few bottles with expressed breast milk, so that your baby has the same flavor, even though the nipple texture is different. This can help her get used to the bottle while still keeping some of the old aspects of the breast milk. As she becomes comfortable with the bottle, try mixing bottles that are half breast milk and half formula to slowly ease into the flavor change.

It is still important to have your baby seen by a healthcare provider.

Best,

Daisy

Hi snq,
Welcome to EmpowHER. Every baby is different. Some experts believe, changing a baby from breast feeding to bottle can take time. Sometimes, babies won’t take a bottle from their mothers because of the strong association between mom’s smell and the expectation of breastfeeding -- but they’ll take a bottle from dad or someone else. It's important to find another a pediatrician that will help you in choosing the right source of milk for your baby. Since breastfeeding or formula doesn't work for him anymore.
