Q:

Why I have such a sudden loss of memory, long and dirt term.

I'm 49 yes old, I've began menapause, I'm mostly past the hot flashes, my problem now is my memory loss, seriously, I'm suddenly an idiot that can't remember what I learned yesterday. I'm having trouble at work and will quite probably lose my job soon.
I feel like a complete fool most of the time and look like an even bigger one.
My question is ; is this severe of a memory loss normal for menapausal women to suffer? And if so;
Will it get better?
I don't want to think it's menapause even it could be something else.

Please give me an answer of how to get thru this without losing my job or respect of others.
Sincerely, karen

Hello, Karen. Thank you for writing.

We can't know if your memory loss is from menopause. But memory loss can happen during this change of life, due to less estrogen in the body. Learn more from the resource below.
