Q:

What I see isn't what I get.

In the last 8 months or so, I have made errors for example, shopping for groceries. It seems that even though I have a specific list, usually not long, I bring home not what was on the list but something in the same area. Recently, I was in the grocery store to pick up coffee creamer. I checked all the of them to grab the right one. Just the next day, what I grabbed was in fact the wrong one. It was a store brand of fat-free Hazelnut creamer with the store colors of blue and red. It was a crème colored International Delights bottle which was Hazelnut regular meaning not fat-free or sugar-free. Before I used to just blame it on not paying attention, but now and more frequent it isn't that.

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER.

It might be time for an annual physical exam with your primary care physician, who can do an eye exam and general check up.

It would be a good opportunity to discuss this issue and be evaluated.

Regards,
Maryann
