I am experiencing a lot of pain in the last 4 months on my right side of my ribs and I have been told that it was a pulled muscle but now I have a lump on the top of my chest and it is worrying me

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

A pulled muscle can take a long time to heal. Tendons can take months. Did you have scans taken to make sure it's not an issue with one of your internal organs? Do you have any other symptoms other than pain?

We cannot say what the lump on your chest means but all lumps need to be evaluated. Please schedule an appointment with your doctor.

I know this must be frightening for you but the sooner you get things checked out, the better. Ask if you pain could be connected to this lump.

Please keep us posted.

Best,
Susan
