Sometimes it feels like good therapy to just get it out!
Do you hate bad service, bad tippers or drivers that don't use their turn signals or yap away on the phone instead of paying attention to the road? Long waits at the doctor's office make you mad?
Does it bother you when people ignore emails or are perpetually late? Does it make you crazy when parents let their kids run amok at restaurants or people try to skip the line at a restaurant or grocery store?
What bugs you?

This IS a great question. Litterbugs!!! I still can't believe that there are people who will simply throw a soda can, a fast-food container or a water bottle out of the car window. And yet it happens so much that when it comes time to clean the shoulder of a highway, you see bag upon bag upon bag of trash that's been collected, waiting to be picked up. It's so easy to throw stuff away these days, because everywhere you stop -- gas stations, convenience stores, grocery stores, etc -- have trash cans outside their doors. It's a no-brainer to just keep the trash in the car until you stop somewhere, and get rid of it there instead of dirtying the landscape with it. But arrogant people still insist on tossing it out the windows without thought.
I think my other pet peeve is people who believe that they are busier than anyone else. It goes along with Alison's peeve about inconsiderate people in some ways. These folks are the ones who can't merge regularly when traffic is stalled (even going so far as to drive on the shoulder), or who sigh and complain when a line is long, or who rush ahead of you to get into the revolving door first, and so on. Everyone is busy, and we're all trying to get somewhere, do something, or find something, and I hate it when one person believes their drive, search or accomplishment outweighs everyone else's.

This time of year, I'm peeved by rude and inconsiderate people. The malls seem to be attracting them! Individuals are stressed, trying to prepare for out-of-town guests, buying the "right" present, but in the meantime, they seem to forget that there are other people in the world. Please be kind next time you are in a situation with hundreds of people cramped in small spaces. Say "sorry" if you hit them with your bag accidentally. You can be even proactive and smile at passers-by.
My other pet peeve is poor customer service. Talk about rude and inconsiderate folks! They are actually paid to smile and be nice, but it seems beyond some of these people. If you hate your job, then find another one that you can at least enjoy enough to be nice. Frowning to customers, complaining to customers about your long shift...I really don't want to hear about it. I can guarantee I have a longer work shift than you do (try 24/7...I'm a mom), so I just do not care that you've been working "early" since 9am, and have to close that night because you're working a double shift. Don't volunteer for the double shift. If you need the money, then don't take it out on the customers.
Thanks for letting us rant!

Really slutty girls....they SUPER annoy me!And the men that oogle them...they seem sooooo dumb!
November 15, 2008 - 4:42pmAlso, when people let their children yell and scream in public and don't tell them off.
One other thing that drives me mad is when people pronounce words like "pasta" with an "O" sounding vowel...like POSTA...it's PAsta for cryin' out loud! The "A" is meant to be flat! it makes poeple sound like valley girls when they pronounce "A's"like that! Sorry...I'm European! I'm an ass!
PHEW...now I feel better!
Good question!

What a great question, my pet peeve is the cleanliness of my house. I just cannot get enough of a clean smelling house. I try not to be too overwhelming when it comes to that but even with a sister-in-law that is allergic to smelly things, I tend to still make my house smell pretty....
...I just hate pet peeves.
