A "rash" can refer to many different skin conditions. The most common of these are scaly patches of skin and red, itchy bumps or patches all over. Common rashes include eczema, poison ivy, and hives. Infections that cause rashes may be fungal, bacterial, parasitic, or viral. Are you taking any new medications? Might you have eaten something you don't usually eat? An allergic reaction is possible, but we cannot know. A doctor can tell your more after an evaluation.
