Hi, I've suffered from reoccurring yeast infections since I was 16 and BV once. For the last 2 years I've had no burning or itching and it doesn't burn when I wee. I just get the thick cloudy discharge. I've been tested for diabetes and it was negative, I've been tested for STD's and came back negative too. The doctors have prescribed all sorts of antibiotics, so much so that I think my body is immune to them now. I've tried every over the counter treatments and the discharge will go away for a day or two, only to return again. I feel very sore and swollen after sex and it burns only after sex when I have a wee. I'm completely at a loss of what to do.

Someone please help!!

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Are you using birth control pills? Some women get recurrent yeast infections when on the Pill. Antibiotics themselves are causes of yeast infections.
Another suggestion is that your hormones be tested - low estrogen is a cause.
Best,
Susan
