Q:

Normal Nosebleed or not?

I am 14 years old and this morning i woke up really congested and dehydrated. When I tried to clear it out a bit my nose started to bleed very fast, and with my luck, when it was just about done bleeding it started up again and i coughed up a giant clot of blood with something that may look like just a small tan-white-ish sphere shaped clot in it. Of all the nose bleeds i get that has never happened. Also I do think it is relevant to mention the migraines that I do tend to get a lot, although we have been blaming it on my bad eyesight.

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
The best cure for nose bleeds is to stay hydrated because dehydration is the #1 cause. However, coughing blood is a completely different matter. The blood could have dripped through your nasal cavity to your mouth from the nose bleed, or it could have been from your lungs. Either way, I strongly suggest you see a doctor. Especially if you believe it could be from your lungs because that can signify a variety of very serious issues.
