My sister has divaticulosus and also diarrhea. Can she take an anti-diarrhea medicine like. immodium?

For some people with diverticulitis and diarrhea, taking something like Imodium can help initially but can also then trigger a flare. Long term use of loperamide (the active ingredient in Imodium) could also cause constipation - something some people with diverticulitis can also face.

It may work well for your sister. However, running this by her doctor is a good idea, especially if she is taking other medications.
