My period is late after taking the morning after pill

Alright, this is all new to me. This is my only source, i cant go to the doctor because im only 17, and i always go to the doctor with my mum. If i went without her she would be suspicious, and ask a million questions. Plus, she doesnt even know i've had sex. I really need help.
On January 2, my boyfriend and i had sex unprotected for the first time ever, i was quite literally shocked and scared. The next morning i took the morning after pill - this was my first ever time taking it. About 4 - 5 days later i started bleeding which lasted about 4 days, (i also got cramping, which i have never before experienced with a period). My period date is usually between the 19 - 23rd of the month, in December my period came as usual. Only, its now the 12th of February and there is no sign of a period. Im starting to really stress. I have taken a home pregnancy test, in which came back negative. But the stress is starting to take over me. i cant sleep at night, this is all i can think about, plus im not eating properly. Please help me to atleast feel reassured.

Hello.

Your period is late from taking ECP. There is nothing to do but wait, and take a pregnancy test, (which you did).

For future, insist on a condom. It's much safer and far less stressful than having to deal with the uncertainty of the pullout method, and the period irregularities ECP can sometimes cause.

April period was april 12-19. Had unprotected sex april 30, which acc to my ovulation calendar - is my most fertile day. Had no idea and forgot to use condom or contraceptive but

Took ecp 5 days after sex. (I heard ecp works effectively before 5 days of last sex) So it was may 4. I took 4 active pills in the morning and after 12 hours another 4 active pills.

Had next period may 14-21 exactly as i have expected it.
Then expecting period last month of june but nothing came.

Tested pregnancy test once last june 22 but it was negative. Never took tests again i relied to the last test that it was negative. I still didnt have sex since then (april 30)

Until now month of july i'm waiting for my period. Hoping it to come. I have no signs of early pregnancy my body is normal and not experiencing any signs. Took test July 26th and negative again. Again took today July 27 urine in the morning. Negative again. Never had sex again last april 30.

Am i pregnant? Or is it because of the ecp i took?

Hi Anon!

You have taken enough tests - you are not pregnant.
I'm not sure which EC pills require you to take 8 pills but your delayed period is likely due to taking these. You're period will be along in due time.

Hi good night
On June 9th I had my period, the last day it finished I had sex with my boyfriend. I immediately took prostinor 2 and experienced bleeding 4 days after. Today is now the 28th of July and I still haven’t experienced my period I am very worried. I took a pregnancy test yesterday which came back negative however I am still worried as to why it is almost the end of this month and my period still did not come

Hello.

If there was no ejaculation, you wouldn't be pregnant. ECP is supposed to be used for emergencies. As you can see by the many comments below, a period delay is a common side effect.

Hi! I had protected sex 2-4 days before my expected period. Just to be sure, I took morning-after pill after we had sex. But my period never came and its almost two weeks since we had sex + 1 week since my expected mens. Should I be freaked out or missing a cycle is really one of the effects of the pills? Will i miss my period for the month of july because of taking the pill before my expected date?

Hello Anon!

These pills work differently for women. We can't predict your cycle.
Take a pregnancy test to rule it out and if negative, your period will arrive when it's ready. Irregularity is to be expected when taking emergency contraception.
