My granddaughter has a high pitch scream. Why does she do this. She has also woken up at night scream ? Wondering if this was a headache? What can she be given for this. How often should she be seeing a doctor. There are days she is crabby too.

What do her parents say? Do they feel she screams because she is in pain or because she seeks attention? With a one-year-old, it could be either or both. We cannot know. Her pediatrician can tell you more after an evaluation.
