Hi everyone! I would just like to know if its safe to take multivitamins and omega 3 while on birth control? I am 35 years old, 5ft. tall and 43kg. I want to gain some weight. Any insights? Thank you

Hello Anonymous, good question!
Some vitamins, as well as some medications, can decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills, and some types of birth control pills can interfere with vitamin absorption which can create problems too. It would be good to discuss this directly with your health provider or pharmacist for advice that's specific to your health and your brand of birth control. While your multi-vitamin most likely is safe, getting additional input would be helpful. Best, Pat
