The 2nd item is device you must purchase from manufacturer and it is pricey, roughly thousand dollars. But they say is should work much better than TENS unit on much more severe pain as well as different kinds of pain.
Medtronic is implanted in your spine...lower and upper. A woman wrote me and just with one implanted it, she was able to reduce her narcotic pain medication by more than half!! She said it is like TENS unit but inside your body..or kind of like one.

I appreciate any information on either device...positive or negative. I really appreciate on alpha stimulator if there is chiro or some other kind of doctor who uses it on their patients to let me know where they are at...i am in northern calif. Southern oregon or western oregon are areas i travel too..well i go about anywhere here on western states to try it.
thanks for any information anyone can pass on!

Hi Anonymous - Welcome to EmpowHER!

Based on what you have posted here, and what you have posted elsewhere online, you seem to be seeking information about alternatives to narcotic drugs for chronic pain treatment.

Dr. Christine Dumas offers several suggestions in her article,Women and Pain: More Turning to Alternatives Before Pain Medications, written for the EmpowHER community.

We do not have direct knowledge of the use of implanted stimulators, but perhaps some of our members do and will share their knowledge with you.

Hope this is helpful,

Pat
