Hi Lola,
You can always try another test if necessary as nothing is 100% accurate. Most pregnancy tests say that they are 99% accurate and can be used on the first day of a missed period. Pregnancy tests actually detect human chorionic gonadotropin (HcG) in your urine. This is a hormone that is released when you are pregnant. The longer you are pregnant, the more hormone you release.
In your case, I would wait another week and if you still have not had your period, try again. Remember that pregnancy tests are not always correct so if you are experiencing any pregnancy symptoms such as sore breasts, morning sickness or frequency in urination, you should have your blood tested by your physician. I hope this helps. Would you kindly keep us updated?
