Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
When nipple discharge is unrelated to pregnancy or breast feeding it can be alarming. But be assured that it does not necessarily signify a serious issue. Usually it is caused by continues fraction or simulation such as a bra that is too tight or chafing.
Abnormality is signified by: discharge coming from only one breast, bloody discharge, or discharge that occurs spontaneously without any squeezing or pressure applied.
In any case however, you should see a doctor if possible. For now make sure to decrease any possible chafing or stimulus that could make it worse.
