Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

How are you feeling today? Are you still swollen?

Some causes for feet and ankle swelling may be caused by weight. Excess body mass can decrease blood circulation, causing fluid to build up in the feet, legs, and ankles. Standing or sitting for long periods. When the muscles are inactive, they can't pump body fluids back up toward the heart. The retention of water and blood can cause swelling in the legs. An injury of some sort can cause the foot or ankle to swell as also. In more serious cases, there could be an issue with the heart, kidneys or liver.

Please contact your doctor for more help - in the meantime keep your feet elevated as much as you can and try wrapping in ice for 15 mins a few times a day to see if that helps.

Best,
Susan
