Technically speaking,  whenever a fluid is exchanged between two bodies there’s a risk of transferring something from one person to the other.  If the woman is healthy, then there’s no risk. If a woman has HIV, for example, there is a risk of transferring the virus through breastfeeding, though the risk is low.   

Normal nipple discharge more commonly occurs in both nipples and is often released when the nipples are compressed or squeezed and is usually nothing to worry about. Nipple discharge that contains pus may indicate an infection in the breast.   If she had an infection in her breast, the breast would likely be sore, red, or warm to the touch. 

I don't think you need to be worried.
