My bf and I had unprotected sex right atfer I just ended my period I took plan B pills and the next day I got my period again even though I just had it 3 days earlier. But now I still haven't gotten my period. Is it possible that I'm just late?

Can anyone please help me? I'm thinking I'm just going to get my period really late. Or is it possible that I am pregnant? Answers asap please.

You are likely not pregnant, and your symptoms are probably from the emergency contraception.

Your period is not even expected to begin for a few more weeks, and any pregnancy symptoms you are experiencing now would not be from a pregnancy; they are hormone-related, however, from the emergency contraception, and also likely from your worrying.

"Pre-cum" is on a man's penis from the moment he is erect, and may/may not contain sperm (experts are now saying it usually does not).

I just had my period on September 16th and then I took Plan B several days later and started second period on October 2nd. Bit I've been on my second period for 11 days now and it's been off and on with alot of blood and then just alittle bit. Having back aches and slight cramping. Is there something wrong with me? Taken Plan B many times before and have never had this happen.

Hi Anonymous

Plan B is not for use as birth control. It is emergency contraception. The hormone levels are different and it may not be as safe as regular birth control to keep using it "many times." It would be much safer to use a regular method of contraception.

As far as your symptoms, I suggest you make an appointment with a health care provider to see what is going on. That's a long period and with your history of intermittently blasting your body with hormones, it's hard to say what exactly is happening. Have you taken a pregnancy test just in case? Plan B has to be taken within a short period of time. Since you said you took it several days later, I don't know if that could be a factor here.

Please see a health care provider and let us know how it goes. Good luck.

Well, I had sex around September 22 or so and then a day later took Plan B, so I wouldn't think I would be pregnant since I took Plan B right away. I made a doctors appointment, but they can't see me for another week. I'm not sure if this is something more serious and if I need to go to the ER. Thank you so much for you time and advice.

If I understand your symptoms are that you have had bleeding on-and-off for 11 days during your period, and you've also had cramping..then this would not be a reason to go to the E.R. Symptoms that would indicate you might want to go to the E.R. would include:
- bleeding excessively, soaking more than 1 pad or tampon every hour
- bleeding for more than 7 days consecutively
- extreme pain
- any other symptoms that are worrisome (dizziness, extreme fatigue, etc)

Taking Plan B several times will not cause any harm, but as Cary said, it is not a good birth control. Birth control pills, when taken consistently and correctly, are 99% effective at preventing pregnancy. That's great, right!? Emergency contraception is much lower, and provides between 70-80% chance of preventing pregnancy. So, when you say you "took emergency contraception, and wouldn't think you are pregnant", Plan B just LOWERS your risk of pregnancy after unprotected sex. It does not diminish the chance, and only birth control pills or condoms can actually decrease your chance of pregnancy to less than 0.01%. That's a huge difference, and the reason to use reliable birth control every time.

Let us know what the doctor says about your symptoms!

Okay, so me and my boyfriend had sex 9-25-10. We used a condom and he pulled out but i was still a little nervous so i took Plan B on the 26th, in the early afternoonish. I was feeling alittle sick all that week, which i know is normal. That next monday, 10-4-10 I started a brownish spotting. I had cramps all that day and a couple days after. The spotting has continued all the way up until today, 10-11-10. It has been brownish, with occasional red blood. But all very light. It was off and on over the weekend. Is this normal? My normal period is due on the 14th of this month. Should I be worried? Someone help!
