My bf and I had unprotected sex right atfer I just ended my period I took plan B pills and the next day I got my period again even though I just had it 3 days earlier. But now I still haven't gotten my period. Is it possible that I'm just late?

Can anyone please help me? I'm thinking I'm just going to get my period really late. Or is it possible that I am pregnant? Answers asap please.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I started my period today! yayyy Im so happy. I think being stressed out about pregnancy and the plan b pill made it late. So for everyone reading this my last period was June 12th, I skipped July and its now Aug 12th and I just got my period. So try not to stress! hope this helps

Hi Anonymous,
I could not find definitive information except that Plan B can cause changes in a woman's menstrual cycle. Plan B can cause a period to be lighter or heavier, earlier or later than a normal period. If you had a period after taking Plan B and did not have unprotected sex after that period, then it is unlikely that you could be pregnant. I am concerned that you have not had a period for almost 2 months. I suggest that you contact your doctor and speak to him or her about what has happened. Since you are young, I don't know how Plan B has affected the rhythm of your menstrual cycle. That is why you should seek medical advice from your doctor.

Oh my gosh, I have been looking for a place like this for about 3 days. I took the plan b pill and had my period about a week later. That was in june. Its now august and I still haven't had a period. I completely skipped July. It's been 58 days since my last period. I've taken pregnancy test and they've all been negative. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms except for occasional cramping in my stomach. Im so scared. Could I be pregnant? Or is it just Plan B throwing off my cycle? I've been googling stuff and some women say they've missed their periods for months and weren't pregnant. Please I'm young and need advice.

Hi,
No, your doctor will not be able to tell that you took Plan B. But, it is important that you tell him that you did take that pill. You will most likely be in the room with him and not your mother. If you choose not to tell your mother, that is your choice. But, for your doctor to give you the best care, he needs to know. Doctor/patient confidentiality allows for information to be held in confidence and private between the patient and physician.

I posted a couple of days ago on August 2nd. just wanted to keep ya'll updated. I took another test today and it was also negative. Im not going to stress out anymore because I know IM NOT PREGNANT. If I was it would have showed on the last 3 test I took. Im just assuming plan b messed up my cycle. Hopefully I'll start my period soon. I told my mom that I was really late, but didn't go into details. (she doesn't know about the plan b or that Im sexually active). Were scheduling an appointment with my doctor to get it checked out. But will he be able to tell that I took plan b? or will he just think my period is starting to get irregular?

Hello, Im 16 years old and I am so worried.... my last period started on June 27 and ended July 1st. Then on July 4th I had sex with my boyfriend we started without protection but then towards the end he decided to put a condom on...so the next day he was worried because he though some precum could have gotten inside me since we started doing it without protection first...so he bought me the next choice day aftepill and I took it on July 5th in the afternoon...then we had sex again on July 6th but this time it was protected sex with a condom when we finished we did the "water test" and there was no breaking or any holes in the condom...

Then a week later after taking next choice on July 11th I experienced bleeding which lasted 5 days..

However I'm really worried right now because it is August 4th and I'm 8 days late and still haven't gotten my period...was that bleeding that I experienced a week after next choice my new period since it lasted 5 days? or is my regular period should be on its way soon?

Thank you!

My story is much like all the others. Had unprotected sex, we used the pull out method and he said he didnt cum at all. Took plan b the next day and started my period at the expected time about a week laster. But its been about 7 weeks since my last period. Im not having any pregnancy symptoms except for occasional cramping. I've taken 2 pregnancy test which were both negative. Could this just be Plan B messing up my cycle? Wouldn't a pregnancy test be accurate after 7 weeks? Im really freaked out. I just need some advice, Am I pregnant? or Is plan b just messing up my period?

Hi Anon,

If you have taken a pregnancy test lately, then you are not pregnant and your missed period is likely caused by plan B. Hopefully your period will arrive by next week. If not, you should see your doctor for his/her opinion.

Good Luck,

Rosa

Hi,

My bf and I always have sex with a condom together with the pull out method. It has always worked however today he pulled out too fast and left the condom stuck inside me. I couldn't help but feel as though some came on me even though there was clearly a spot on the bed in which he came. My period is due in about 2-3 days and I'm wondering if I should consider the plan b pill? Im scared that it might take opposite effect and delay my period even more. But if I were to wait, my chances of it working will become low. Any advice will be appreciated!

Hi Anon,

Wait for your period to come-- the odds are for you, not against you. You were likely not ovulating if you have a period due in 2-3 days and the fact that he didn't hold on to the condom when he pulled out to ejaculate doesn't mean that whatever sperm or preejaculate inside the condom spilled inside of you-- it's just a scary thought. If you do decide to take an emergency contraceptive, your period may be delayed and further increase anxiety. I would just wait to get my period, however it is up to you to decide.
