I believe I tracked these beetles inside, from stairwell of old house, apartment building. they seem isolated on carpet inside my doorway. I vacuum everyday but they appear within an hour, anyways. This is first tine one latched onto me and was a little difficult to remove. Just left red spot, no itching or pain. I caught several on scotch tape, including some larve and eggs. I have pets that I treat less than monthly with Advantage II. My pets don't have any bugs, that I can find, on them. Should I be alarmed? And, what is the safest way to get rid of these creatures? I want to throw out my dining room carpet, however, and replace it with a new carpet. But I fear if I buy a new carpet, it will also get invested. I'm just worried about the little bite at this point. Can you please help?
