Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
September 26, 2015 - 10:31amThere are many possible reasons this could be occurring. So, you need to start with a process of elimination. For example: have you had any recent surgeries? Are you on any medications? Are you an athlete? Has this happened in the past?
If you do not have any problem in the thigh specifically then you could be experiencing referred pain. Referred pain is pain that originates in a different place than where you feel it. The come places of origination for referred pain in the thigh are lower back, hip, the sacroiliac joint and abdomen (stomach and/or intestines).
Low back pain is common for people who have a desk job are spend a lot of time commuting which can lead to poor posture. If it is originating from your lower back, also keep away from firm mattresses. Preferably sleep on memory foam or a mattress to forms to your body.
Visting a chiropractor can also help with hip and sacroiliac joint problems as well as your low back.
If it is originating in your abdomen then you should focus on cleansing your body through having a clean diet and it also may be helpful to visit a nutritionist. By "a clean diet" I mean to stay away form highly processed foods (frozen foods, canned foods) Also reduce sugar and salt intake. Do most of your grocery shopping in the produce section.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
