Guide

More importantly, how long have you been experiencing vertigo and a pulsing sensation in your inner ear?

Vertigo is the feeling that you or things around you are moving or spinning. It differs from dizziness in that vertigo describes an illusion of movement.

Vertigo may be caused by inflammation within the inner ear called labyrinthitis. The most common cause is a viral or bacterial inner ear infection. Feeling a pulsation in your ear is one type of tinnitus, which is a ringing, swishing type of nois that seems to originate in the ear of head.

Have you recently had a cold or upper respiratory infection? If these symptoms, vertigo and tinnitus, have lasted more than one week, please contact your doctor.
