How long do people usually live when diagnosed with Alzheimer.h

Its already 3 and half to 4 years just trying to get general idea. She no longer knows us or can't talk on phone anymore. My mom lives in different state and I feel bad I hadn't been able to go visit over last year as i have son fighting leukemia also, but mom is still my mom and need to see her ju st wasn't sure on life expectancy for Alzheimers

I'm very sorry to know your mom has this diagnosis, it's very difficult for family, as well as the patient. With your son's diagnosis, I can only imagine the stress you are under.
A person with Alzheimer's can live for many years (up to 20 years) but according to the Alzheimer's Association, 4-8 years is the average time a person has.
I do hope you get out to see your mom.
