Hello and thank you for choosing EmpowHer,
Inflammation of the joints is the number one cause of arthritis. Inflammation occurs when the body is over-run by toxins and unbalanced pH levels. A poor diet is a huge culprit in this case. If you are over-weight that is also a huge strain on the joints, especially in the hip area.
To fight inflammation, start by eating a diet that will alkaline your body. Fruits and vegetables should be the bulk of your calories, then whole grains such as brown rice and quinoa, and finally fish (stay away from red meat)
Foods such as red meat, dairy, caffeine, highly processed frozen or canned food etc all build up the toxins which are causing inflammation.
Lastly, I highly suggest that you include Turmeric in your diet on a daily basis. It is a wonderful spice to cook with. And you can also take it as a 'shot' so to speak. Put a teaspoon of turmeric in water and gulp it down. It is a highly affective anti-inflammitory spice.
I wish you all the best. Let us know if you have any more questions.
