Dear ravali133

Thanks for reaching out to us today.

Pregnancy, puberty, menstruation, aging, and breastfeeding are the main causes of dark areolas.

In regard to early pregnancy, along with breast sensitivity, a woman may notice a slight darkening of the areola which surrounds the nipple, but not all women get or notice this.
