Coughing up blood

I have copd , I don’t cough with it unless I’m coughing up mucus , today they is blood in it , it’s light in color ?

Coughing up blood is usually caused by irritation of the lungs or something very serious like lung cancer. COPD can also cause blood to be coughed up although coughing up mucus is more common - this is something you say your experience.

While coughing up blood can happen to those with COPD, it's still advisable to put a phone call into your doctor to see what he/she says. A checkup may be warranted.
