Hi, I'm 23 years old lady and I'm still a virgin. I have a bf and we've been together for more than 4 years. We never had 'real' penetration or sexual intercourse (saving it for the marriage). But today we made out and he only put his tip into me (only like half an inch to an inch) but did not cum in me. I am just a little concerned and went online to search for answers, and some people even mentioned that with what i've done, i'm actually not a virgin anymore! but no pain no blood flow happened.

Anyway, my question is, will i get pregnant this way? isit really true that if sperm was only near the vagina, i will get pregnant?

only supportive and real answers please.. i know i shud've used contraception, but it was our first time, and we didn't really planned for it to happen.

thanks..

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER.
Anytime you have unprotected sex, you are at risk for getting pregnant or STDs. The surest way to know if you are pregnant is a missed period and pregnancy test. Generally speaking, a pregnancy test can be taken once you miss your period, so you'll have to wait a while if you just had your period. Some suggest waiting a week after the missed period to take the test. If you miss your period, you also can make an appointment with a doctor to receive a blood test to verify a pregnancy. Doctors also can test for STDs if you need that too.
If you plan to be sexually active now, it's a good idea to get an appointment with a doctor to get checked out, ask questions about sex and reproductive health (don't be embarrassed, it's their job--they're there to help you), and discuss birth control options (such as birth control pills), or you and your partner need to pick up some condoms and maybe some spermicide to help protect against pregnancy. Lubricant can help with the "size" issue you mentioned.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER.
ANYTIME you have unprotected sex, you are at risk for getting pregnant or STDs, no matter how many times you've already ejaculated, you still have sperm in it. The surest way to know if you are pregnant is a missed period and pregnancy test. Generally speaking, a pregnancy test can be taken once the period is missed. Some suggest waiting a week after the missed period to take the test. If your gf does miss her period, you also can make an appointment with a doctor to have her receive a blood test to verify a pregnancy. Doctors also can test for STDs if you need that too.
If you plan to be sexually active now, it's a good idea for your gf to get an appointment with a doctor to get checked out, ask questions about sex and reproductive health (don't be embarrassed, it's their job--they're there to help you), and discuss birth control options (such as birth control pills), and/or you need to pick up some condoms and maybe some spermicide to help protect against pregnancy. If you're old enough to fool around, you're old enough to be responsible about it and protect your gf from unwanted pregnancy and both of you from STDs.
Good luck and let us know how you're doing.

I am not sure what you mean by "pre cum". All men have pre-ejaculatory fluid ("pre cum") on their penises when they become erect...just part of the erection process. There may be a few drops of semen on the tip of their penis at the moment of erection. This pre-cum most likely does not contain sperm, but it is possible.

It sounds like you are not talking about actual "pre-ejaculatory fluid", but rather, if he is wiping off fluid from his penis after being inside of you (having sex, even if for 2 seconds), this would be actual ejaculatory fluid.

Please know: anytime you have unprotected sex, even if for 2 seconds, there is a risk of pregnancy. Alcohol and sex do not mix for this reason, as it decreases your inhibitions and it's easier to say "what the heck!" to unprotected sex. Just be sure to have plenty of condoms available, and talk with your boyfriend BEFORE having sex. If you are both interested in having sex, but are using alcohol as the excuse to try it out, just be honest with each other upfront, and agree to use birth control.

Hi Anonymous

It's possible, but it isn't very likely. If you had washed up and really just did that one little thing, the odds are very small.

Ok... This is embearasing. Two nights ago (first time), my boyfriend and I take a hot shower and one thing led to another. He entered me. We did it until he pulled out (5 minutes or so?) and ejaculated on the floor. None got inside me that I know of. This was not just the tip, but the whole weener (10 inches!). Am I pregnant??!! We're only 17. My dad would kill me!! Please help. What should I do?? Should I run away? Am I a slut for enjoying it? Should I drop out of school?? Should I sue his parents if I get pregnant? Should I call the police? Should I tell my dad??? Ahhhhh -- help!

Why would you call the police if it was consensual?
What you should do is go to a Planned Parenthood, get sex education, and determine a method of birth control so this does not happen again. Take control of your health and your sex life. You can get pregnant even when he pulls out, because there can be sperm in pre-ejaculatory fluid.

It's up to you what or whether you tell your parents. At your age, you are nearly considered an adult, so you need to act like one. Go to the Planned Parenthood site: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/, find your local clinic, get examined, educated, and decide on a method of birth control. Then do not have unprotected sex again unless you want to raise a child.

Sex and the sex drive are part of being human. It does not make you a slut or anything else, it just makes you human. The sex drive is thought to be right behind breathing and eating for us. But you can control when and how you have sex.

Good luck to you.
