I HAVE HAD ADRENAL FATIGUE FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW. I KNOW ALL OF THE OTHER THINGS IT CAUSES, BUT HERE LATELY IT SEEMS I HAVE NO MOTIVATION TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL. I FEEL AS IF I AM SHUTTING DOWN. IS THIS A PART OF AF? AND IF SO TO WHAT EXTENT?

There are so many things you can do...start by trying to get to bed as early as possible...cortisol naturally spikes around 10 pm and for people with AF, if you don't get to bed by this time, it can make it way more difficult to fall asleep. Herbs help too to restore the adrenals, including cordyceps, eluthera, and rhodiola. Read all about AF at Women to women, they have some really great articles: http://www.womentowomen.com/adrenalhealth/adrenalfatigue.aspx Good luck! I've been there :)

Hi Anon
Welcome to EmpowHER. Some of the symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue are.
1.You feel tired for no reason.
2.You have trouble getting up in the morning, even when you go to bed at a reasonable hour.
3.You are feeling rundown or overwhelmed.
4.You have difficulty bouncing back from stress or illness.
5.You crave salty and sweet snacks.
6.You feel more awake, alert and energetic after 6PM than you do all day.
It might be good to talk to your doctor about how you are feeling.
